One of my other loves is designing and delivering naming ceremonies. I believe that in our society it is really important for our newest little members to be welcomed with a ceremony that is reflective of their family and communities beliefs and wishes. There is something very special when close family and friends come together to formally introduce their new additions to the world. I would be truly honoured to help you with such a milestone.
Vow Renewals
Regardless of how many years you’ve been married, 5 or 50, it is so important to celebrate the time you have shared together, creating all those big and small moments. Renewing your vows is such a wonderful way to come together again, say some heartfelt words that may mean even more after your shared journey. So much joy (and lots of happy tears!) come from celebrating couples lives they have created together. It is an incredible experience celebrating with children and sometimes grandchildren involved.
Memorials
Celebrating the life of someone is one of the greatest, and hardest things to do after the passing of a loved one. More and more families are opting to have smaller, more private funeral service and then hold a memorial ceremony to honour them in the community. This allows friends, extended family and other members of their community to pay their respects. Often memorials are held in special places for that person, or their family, and may also include scattering of their ashes or other symbolic gestures.
Family Unity Celebration
This type of ceremony is designed to bring some formality and commitment to families who have come together, and do not necessarily want to get married. Many blended families have come together after leaving other family members and sometimes some tough times. This ceremony is a beautiful way for those couples and their children to unite. This ceremony can include symbolic elements like sharing objects of love, sand/ earth pouring and lighting candles. Children love to feel included in all areas of life, and in this ceremony we can help them to feel important, loved and united with their new family unit.
